Why does Pornhub think I'm located in Utah?

Pornhub might think someone is located in Utah due to the IP address that the device is using to access the internet. Websites use IP addresses to estimate a user's location, and sometimes these IP addresses can be misallocated or rerouted in a way that incorrectly suggests a different geographic location than where the person actually resides. This misidentification could result from the use of VPNs (Virtual Private Networks), which intentionally mask the true location by providing an IP address from another area, or it can occur because of inaccuracies in the databases that services use to map IP addresses to physical locations. Internet service providers may also allocate an IP range to users that is registered or recognized as being within Utah, leading Pornhub to assume that is the user’s location.
